There are also many Chinese tourists. During the Chinese New Year in February it is quite busy and expensive. Fireworks are heard around the clock during that time.There are four main areas in Sanya. Sanya Bay, Sanya city, Dadonghai, and Yalong Bay. Sanya Bay is a 30 km plus stretch of beach with many resorts, seafood restaurants, and some budget hotels. Sanya city is the downtown area.
